MAWJ No.08 - THE ORGANIC BLOOM

No circle, no square — just pure organic form.

Mawj No.08 is our most free-form piece. At 60cm wide and 40cm tall, it is an irregular, splat-like sculpture carved from a single slab of solid walnut, with deep, flowing waves carved into the edges that look like petals melting into bark.

The dial is minimal and architectural — 12 raised wooden baton markers, with a double baton at 12, and elegant brass-gold hands that glide over the dramatic, swirling walnut grain. No numbers needed. The shape itself tells you it’s special.

This is the anti-clock clock. For Wabi-Sabi, Japandi, and gallery walls where you want something that looks like art first, time second.

THE WOOD

100% solid walnut, sustainably sourced. One solid slab, no joints, no veneer. We choose slabs with wild figure — dark chocolate swirls, golden streaks, and natural movement that makes each Bloom one-of-one. Your grain will never be repeated.

THE CRAFT

Crafted in our workshop. The Bloom’s edge is shaped entirely by hand — no two are ever the same outline. We carve the soft waves with gouges to create that liquid, eroded look, then hand-sand the entire surface until every ridge is smooth to the touch. Finished with natural hardwax oil in a satin matte.

Fitted with a high-torque silent quartz movement. Silent sweep, no ticking — perfect for living rooms and bedrooms.

WHY YOU NEED IT

At 60 x 40cm, The Organic Bloom is the perfect medium statement. It’s large enough to be seen, but irregular enough to feel organic and soft. It breaks up the grid of square frames and round clocks, adding movement and warmth. It looks stunning alone or in a cluster with other Mawj pieces.

CARE

Dust with a soft dry cloth. Avoid direct heat sources. Walnut will deepen beautifully with age, developing a richer, more luxurious patina.
